SEOUL, South Korea -- The head of the organizing committee for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang resigned Monday, saying new leadership and a stronger system is needed to complete preparations for the games. Andrew Adams Jersey . Former provincial governor Kim Jin-sun was elected president of the organizing committee in late 2011 after Pyeongchang won the right to host the first Winter Olympics in South Korea. He was re-elected last year for another two-year term. PyeongChang 2018 is at a turning point for the latter half of its games preparation, which requires more detailed planning and execution, Kim said Monday, according to a committee statement. At this critical juncture, I believe that PyeongChang 2018 needs new leadership and a stronger system that will effectively carry out various games-related projects, he said. The organizing committee did not comment on the process for replacing Kim or his likely successor. Kim, former governor of the eastern Gangwon province which includes Pyeongchang, led the South Korean towns two unsuccessful bids for the 2010 and 2014 Olympics. In 2010, he stepped down as governor and had since served as an ambassador to Pyeonchangs bid committee for the 2018 games. Kims tenure was to officially end in October 2015 and it is not known what exactly caused his early departure. International Olympic Committee officials who visited Pyeongchang recently expressed no major concerns about preparations for 2018. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie Jersey . 1. Lions WR Calvin Johnson (6 REC, 101 YDS, 1 TD, 10 targets) leads receivers with 1,299 yards and 12 touchdowns, though his 118.1 receiving yards per game ranks second behind Clevelands Josh Gordon. Gordon (10 REC, 261 YDS, 2 TD, 15 targets) is emerging as a superstar, putting up huge numbers even with Jason Campbell and Brandon Weeden at quarterback. Harry Carson Jersey . Unfortunately for Toronto, that surge was too much to handle as the Stars scored six straight goals and ended the Marlies season with a 6-2 victory on Tuesday. Toronto had built a 2-0 lead on goals by Frazer McLaren and Peter Holland, but Texas charged back with a wild rally late in the second period to spark its trip to the Calder Cup final.DUBLIN, OHIO – It was his year-long goal to make the team and now that hes here and wearing the International colours, Graham DeLaet looks positively giddy. As he toured around Muirfield Village on Tuesday, DeLaet was all smiles, drinking in the atmosphere and getting to know his teammates that much better. "Its been so much fun," he said after his round. "Its exceeded everything and its only Tuesday. Just getting together [Monday] night, we had a great time. Its going to be an amazing week. Obviously its going to be a hell of a lot better if we win." DeLaet is watching and learning and trying to feel the camaraderie. Hes been playing table tennis in the team room, watching a little football with the boys and unwrapping all the swag that comes with a spot on the team. "Its been cool," he said. "My wife has gotten more free stuff than I have, so she is really excited." DeLaet said his wife received some Lululemon workout clothes, Hunter boots and "a lot more stuff that I dont really know what it is. But shes excited about it." If the timing works, DeLaet said hed also try to expose some of his teammates to a great Canadian pastime, NHL hockey. The Columbus Blue Jackets play the Calgary Flames – DeLaets team – here Friday night and it appears a group might head into town to catch some of the action. However, first and foremost this week is golf and DeLaet will be counted on to help the Rest Of The Worlders try to end this stretch of losing to the Yanks. He arrived at the Jack Nicklaus course at the end of a long and successful season that saw him shoot up the Official World Golf Ranking from 178th at the start of the year to 32nd. With great ball-striking and tremendous acccuracy, hes rightfully earned his spot among the games best. Phil Simms Jersey. Even though his shots seemed a little loose on the course Tuesday – he attributed that to his timing being off after a travel day – he was still impressive to his captain, Nick Price. "Hes probably rounded off a few of the rough edges that he had in the first couple of years as a professional," Price said. "Hes learned how to play the game, and he plays it so beautifully. I mean, hes a great driver of the ball, great ball striker. So it was easy to find him someone to play with to be honest. Its great, we really needed a Canadian on the team, too." On Tuesday, DeLaet was in a group with Jason Day, Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen. With the two South Africans almost joined at the hip, expect to see a team of Day and DeLaet at some point. "Theres nothing set in stone," the Canadian said. "You know, the captain put these together for us to play together and see how everyone gelled." Price has polled his players, asking whom they wanted to play with and said he has a pretty good idea of his lineup that will start Thursday. Hes hoping it will be one that can stop the International slide in this event thats turned it into a bit of a snooze-fest, compared to the tension-filled drama of the Ryder Cup. For now, the Internationals are talking a good game and perhaps fueled by the naivety of the seven rookies, filled with bravado. "I think guys have confidence," DeLaet said of his side. "You have to. To come in here and not believe in yourselves, I mean, you have no chance of winning. Were all playing with confidence and speaking confidently every time. We have got each others back." Stitched Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping Wholesale Jerseys 2020 Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Cheap Jerseys 2019 Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
